Jesus meets us and says “repent, for the Kingdom is at hand” . For years many of us have been taught that this “repentance” looks like a “180 degree turn in the opposition direction”. There  is more power to the word repent though, much more power available to those who are willing to dig deep.

The word as recorded in the NT Scriptures is correctly and directly translated as “reconsider”. 

What would our lives and community look life if instead of trying to simply turn around on a linear pivot, we “reconsidered”? 

Reconsidered what it means to love God, to be loved by God, to have the image of the divine in us, to be in community, to be following in the footsteps of that great cloud of witnesses that came before us, to live in harmony with peoples of all cultures, faiths, and ethnicities as our neighor. 

What if instead of just “turning around” we “reconsidered”? At R3CONSIDER, we believe that if that is what we did …. the Christian revolution becomes powerfully reimagined, counter-cultural, and empowering. 

We will continue to highlight those groups of Christians that are doing things that are empowering growth, community, and giving face to a genuine gospel. Stick around, contribute, reach out, support. Reconsider.
